Course overview

If deepening your meditation practice is a cornerstone of your wellness plan, join our inaugural Chill Ed Mindfulness Immersion course. Experience four weeks of meditation study, discussion, and practice with some of Chill’s most respected instructors.

We’ll spend four hours together each weekend with the expectation of advancing our practices during the week (included as part of the course). Specific classes will include walking meditation, mindful eating, mindful listening, five sense meditation, mindful sorting of emotions and much more. Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) best practices are taught and adhered to throughout the course.

Claire Mark, Chill Co-Founder / Co-Head of Teacher Training / Yoga + Meditation Instructor

If Chill believed in gurus, Claire would be our’s.  Claire was introduced to yoga and meditation 20 years ago in New York City and never looked back. Studying with the best senior teachers from Los Angeles to San Francisco, she landed in Chicago, where her classes enjoy a devoted following. She is dedicated to making yoga and meditation accessible to everyone, with a focus on being compassionate and kind toward all.  She is also a certified life coach, cookbook author, and a mom — all of which she couldn’t have done without the help of her daily meditation practice.


Darrell Jones, Chill General Manager / Co-Head of Teacher Training / Meditation Instructor

Darrell is Chill personified — his approachable and calming presence is appreciated by customers and students. As the Chill GM, he brings programming and curriculum development experience from his former position as program manager at the Old Town School of Folk Music. Darrell graduated from Kalamazoo College with a BA in Music and holds a Masters in Consciousness Studies from the Holmes Institute of Consciousness Studies.  His inspiration comes from the realization that in all philosophy, science, religions, and psychology, there is some element of meditation or contemplation to stimulate change and growth.


Kimberly Dunn, Meditation + Yoga Instructor

Kimberly embodies the unique combination of Chill's modern meditation rooted in science. She effortlessly combines her Purdue degree in health education and kinesiology with 10+ years as a personal trainer and many mindfulness / meditation / yoga certifications to benefit her students. Kimberly is incredibly adept at making the first-time meditator feel comfortable in their cushion while sharing opinions on philosophy and India's best ashrams with zen experts. At the center of her work, Kimberly believes a regular practice of asana (physical movement), pranayama (breath work), and meditation clears the distractions of the mind, creating space for true wisdom of the heart.



Mindfulness Immersion Curriculum 

Week One | Breath

The core of all meditation practice. Practice focus will include mindful breathing exercises (MBSR focus), mindful awareness, and S.T.O.P. meditation.

Week Two | Body

Stillness begins with body awareness. Practice focus will include walking meditation, body scans, mindful eating, and mindful listening (chime/bell exercise) .

Week Three | Thoughts

Controlling our thoughts instead of the other way around. Practice focus will include observing thoughts meditation, object meditation, and breathing our beliefs meditation.

Week Four | Emotions

Learning to manage the consuming effects of our feelings. Practice focus will include loving kindness, embracing emotions, beyond right + wrong meditation, and mindful sorting.

Class Sessions

  • Saturday + Sundays, 7:30 - 9:30am

  • September 8 - 30th

  • A minimum of four additional hours of in-studio classes during the course

Student Perks

  • Unlimited core classes are included for the duration of the course

  • Earn 20 hours toward Yoga Alliance continuing education mindfulness credits


$850 per person


Cancellations must be made by July 15 for full studio credit. Your credit may be applied to anything offered at Chill.
